On the official website to promote the adaptation into anime of the manga, written by and drawn by Yoshitoki Ooma, Fumetsu no Anata e (To Your Eternity), The first promotional video of the second season was released.

The video continues to show the premiere scheduled for October in Japan. However, it confirms that the production has transferred onto The drive studios.

The first season of 20 episodes was broadcast in the season of Spring-2021 (April-June). The Crunchyroll platform handled the distribution of the manga throughout the West. Yoshitoki Ooima has been publishing the manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since November 2016.

Summary Fumetsu no Anata e

An Orb that is referred to as “It” is launched into Earth to be seen from a distance. Capable of changing the form of the beings that reflect his reflections takes in. He transforms into a stone and then transforms into an enveloping moss as a result of the increase in temperature.

He’s incapable of moving until one winter day, and a wolf on the edge of death barely makes it. When he adopts the appearance that an animal is conscious of its existence, he starts to explore without a clear destination in his mind.

In the end, he encounters Wolf’s master, the young man who is hoping that his family will be reunited in a land of fruits and fish located in the south. Even though the boy is sad, he still hopes that those he has loved in his memories are not gone and someday be returned to them.

The boy is eager to discover new areas. So he decides to go away from the home he shares by naming “It” to find paradise with the footprints left behind by his family. But, with a severely injured body and the absence of his comrades from the past, what happens to the boy? Fumetsu no Anata illustrates the tale of an eternal being embraced by many different people across time.
