Finally an official news update about the rising of the shield hero season 2, and this is all coming from the virtual event of Crunchyroll Expo 2020 at the rising of the shield hero panel the event already started on September 4th, 2020, and is supposed to be ending on September 6th, 2020
If you just so happen to have missed the event basically there are a few key points that they mentioned the first thing that they said is that season 2 will be coming out next year sometime in 2021 they did not say specifically what month it is going to be coming out but just the fact that it is coming out next year and glad that they did confirm because we actually was starting to get a little bit worried it has been already a year since they originally confirmed it back in 2019 so it’s good to know that everything is going according to plan the second thing that they showed was a brand new trailer and see the trailer down and by the looks of it kinema citrus which is the original animation studio that did season 1 will be responsible for doing season 2 and season 3 as well the next thing that they said was that season 2 will feature brand new characters and then after they basically just said thanks for watching and that they hope that you continue to support the rising of the shield hero as far as season 3 goes they didn’t really say much about it other than the fact that it is coming close after season 2.
We still don’t know yet how many episodes season 2 and 3 will be hoping that they are both 24 episodes just like how season 1 was but since it has been almost a year now it is possible that maybe season 2 might only be 12 to 13 episodes but we’re just gonna have to wait and see they did say that they were going to provide more info in the future and they did also say to expect more news updates as time goes on as far as the source material in the light novel are up to volume number 22 as of june 25th of 2019 and believe season 2 should pick up right around volume number 6 they did also mention that Raphtalia was the best girl at the 2020 anime awards which we must say is pretty true and overall it does look like season 2 and season 3 will be very exciting to watch nonetheless those are the key points that they did mention at event and they did say that they were going to provide many future updates as time goes on whatever news and information that we get, we will definitely post it right here on our website.
