The second season of The Misfit of Demon King Academy anime was originally announced at the Katakawa light novel expo in early 2021. It was sometime around March.
The Misfit of Demon King Academy anime premiere in the summer of 2020. It finished with a total of 13 episodes.
The anime is still going to continue. Because many people thought it would be canceled due to what happened last year when the manga artist had unfortunately passed away. He passed away on July 6th, but before the anime was based on the light novel.
So despite this unfortunate situation, they will continue the anime. The most recent update that we have received regarding the second season was back in December of 2021.
They basically said that the voice actor who played Anos in the misfit of demon king academy would no longer be playing the role. His name was Tatsuhisha Suzuki. So apparently, he and his wife Lisa have been going through some problems.
So instead, the new person will be doing the voice of Annos. The Japanese version will be done by Yuechiro Yumehara, who has been in other anime. Such as Cautious Hero, and we are still missing a lot of key information regarding the second season.
Right now, we’re not sure exactly how many episodes this season will be, but they did already come out to state that it will be split into two cores. Meaning that it should be more than 12 episodes, possibly even 24, or somewhere around there.
If we look at the light novel real quick, the anime’s first season took up the first three volumes. So season two should pick up at volume number four. Volume number four is split into two parts. So there’s four A and four B. The light novel has a total of 10 volumes that also have two parts, 10 A and 10 B.
There is plenty of source material for a season 2 with a good amount of episodes. So far, we have only just received one trailer and a key visual. Hopefully, we can expect to hear some more news on season 2 rather soon.

We know that studio Silverlink will be back again for this season. Because season 1 premiered in the summer. We could get season 2 would be in the summer of 2022.
It all depends on exactly how far into production they are in. It could take a lot longer, given the fact that it is more episodes.
So maybe even late 2022 or early 2023. At least they put a status on the fact that they are still working on season 2, and it is not canceled for those of you who think it is. So what do you guys think? Are you excited for the second season of The Misfit of Demon King Academy?
