Cyberpunk: Edgerunners ” was an absolutely stunning anime. It was the best thing I’ve ever seen in Trigger as an original anime in recent times. It is most likely extremely impressive on a global scale. It’s not only that. Yes, I’m an avid Cyberpunk 2077 fan (in the end, a few years after its release, it was pretty awesome). The main reason is that the entire series was enjoyable in every aspect, from the narrative to the animation. Unfortunately, there’s no sequel.
As well as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was a smash, and there aren’t plans to make any more.
It’s that VCG group that took note of the words of Satoru Honmu, the head of CD Projekt RED in Japan, in a recent interview conducted with Famitsu. This is basically how the reason for the denial of season two of “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” has been explained to:
Honma-san claims that they’ve received amazing feedback on the animation and that the director is thrilled to work on animation with studios from Japan.
Unfortunately, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was designed as a one-off production. This means they have not been working on a season 2 of the series, and there are no current plans to work on it.
Honma-san has also stated that in the unlikely event that they decide to do additional anime soon. He doesn’t have any idea whether it will be a second season of Cyberpunk Edgerunners or, rather, an entirely new concept.
I’m not going to declare that I am sad to hear this, but I truly am so sad. In other words, most of us have to wait two years to participate in the sport because the game was launched as messy. Its savagery was just a piece of cloth, and the show that’s been an amazing “Hit” from the very first minute will be kept in an archive until we know what time. I believe that “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” should be a mere first step, considering the size of the universe it has become… However, apparently, I’m not crazy.
